Oklahoma City Public Schools officials are working with the Oklahoma City Police Department after they were made aware of a threat made on social media against Capitol Hill Middle School.District officials said Monday night that the threat was shared on Snapchat between students at multiple schools. Police and Oklahoma City Public Schools security officials are investigating the credibility of the threat.”Until we know more, OKCPS plans to have additional security on campus at CHMS tomorrow (Tuesday) while authorities continue to investigate,” district officials said. “The safety and security of our students and staff is a top priority, and OKCPS takes any threat of violence seriously.”Anyone with information about the situation is asked to call police at 405-231-2121.”We are very grateful for our staff and families who quickly notified district officials and law enforcement,” OKCPS officials said. “We hope members of our community will continue to report these threats so they can be investigated.”District officials told KOCO 5 they will provide updates when they become available.
