Arun Gandhi, the fifth grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, the ‘Father of the Indian Nation’, is in Huntsville for the A Ray of Hope Event 2019, where he will be guest-speaking on Saturday at the Von Braun Center. The event, is hosted by AshaKiran, which helps foreign-born individuals in crisis situations, free of charge.
In the interview, Mr. Gandhi shares why a message of peace and respect is so relevant, in light of conflict around the world and the need for groups like AshaKiran. He also shares some of his personal story, what our education systems need, and why his grandfather’s message is more important than ever. The activist, journalist, and author also shares about the inspiration behind his books and how he is reaching young people with the lessons his grandfather and parents taught him.
