Michael Jackson sign at Royal Adelaide Show sparks social media backlash

On the opening day of the Adelaide Show, a popular children’s ride has come under fire for ‘bad taste’ signage.

The sign, indicating the minimum height restriction for the ‘Hard Rock’ ride, features accused child abuser Michael Jackson.

Criticism quickly flooded social media once images of the Jackson sign appeared online.

“If the ride doesn’t scare the children, he will,” one commenter wrote.

“Nooo, this is so wrong,” wrote another.

But many found humour in the situation, with some saying they “ugly laughed” at the pictures and calling it “wrong for so many reasons but still hilarious”.

Adelaide’s longest-running event, Royal Adelaide Show will be on at the Showgrounds until September 8.
