Arrest made following social media threat at the University of Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WYMT) – 11-8-18 AM Update
University of Kentucky police have made an arrest early Thursday morning in connection with a social media threat aimed at the White Hall Classroom Building.

Haily Loriane Duvall, 19, a sophomore from Glasgow, Kentucky, has been charged with terroristic threatening 2nd degree and filing a false police report. We’re told she is also a part-time employee at UK HealthCare.

Officials say Duvall was also the person who contacted them to tell them about the threats being posted on Snapchat Wednesday afternoon.

She is expected to be arraigned in Fayette County on Thursday. Duvall is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.

Wednesday afternoon, officials with the U.K. Police Department say they received information about a threat made on social media.

Officials are calling the threat ‘unsubstantiated’ and say that it involved the White Hall Classroom Building.

Our sister station WKYT reports the social media post made a threat involving a bomb.

While officials investigate the post, they say they will be adding more security around the building.

Classes will resume as normal Thursday.
