- Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War is now available in the Google Play Store.
- The new Warhammer title features card collecting and PvP battles, similar to Clash Royale.
- It’s free-to-play and features some impressive graphics.
Developer Pixel Toys has released its new title, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War in the Google Play Store (via Droid Gamers). The new strategy title throws you into real-time, 1v1 battles, similar to the likes of Clash Royale and Star Wars: Force Arena.
The game features deck building elements whereby you’ll collect Generals, Heroes, and Summons (basically your infantry) to deploy in battle. Deciding which of these to hold in your deck before the beginning of each battle forms part of the strategy, and you’ll level-up these cards as you earn experience points.
The battles themselves play out in small arenas where you’ll choose when and where to play your cards, i.e. place your creatures. Once they’ve been activated, you don’t control these creatures directly; instead, they’ll advance and attack automatically. You’ll likely play through matches within a few minutes and at the end you’ll receive some goodies such as new cards and coins. It has both single and multiplayer modes.
Pixel Toys has had previous success with the Warhammer license, picking up a Google Play Award for “Most beautiful game 2016” with Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade. I can’t deny Realm War looks similarly slick in the graphics department.
It’s free to play and you can download it at the link below if you’re interested. Expect that overly familiar premium/basically worthless dual currency system found in most free-to-play titles.
