Half of the proceeds from the launch event will go directly to TAF. We are excited to support an organization with a mission that will bring young people into the gaming industry with not only eagerness but education.

“TAF is a nonprofit leader in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education. We partner with public education, businesses and the community to actively engage students in the real world, and we share our successes to advance systemic reform that improves STEM education for all.” – TAF website.

We have had the opportunity to meet many of the students and are impressed with their eagerness and intelligence. This organization is doing it right and in the right direction. Technology is here now, it’s no longer in the future so it’s great to see it direct in the classrooms being taught by educators and industry and community leaders.

Basically it’s a monthly gathering for fun, socializing and finding that missing bit of information for a project. We all want an excuse to party and now we have given -game developers the perfect excuse. The events will take place every month all over the Puget Sound area. Not only that but we’ll be offering workshops and panels led by top industry leaders and blogs pertaining to information from education to entertainment all related to gaming. So once a month tell your boss you can’t stay late because you have a function to attend that will help your work performance (just don’t mention the beer unless your boss wants to join you).
